Base Salary
$69k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement full-stack features with minimal day-to-day guidance and own assigned work through code review, testing, and deployment.
- Develop clean, maintainable, production-ready code and write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews, debug issues, and troubleshoot applications and deployment problems.
- Support junior engineers through pairing, code reviews, documentation, informal mentoring, and onboarding assistance.
- Work with RESTful APIs, scalable microservices, event-driven and serverless solutions, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teammates to clarify requirements, communicate progress, and document technical work.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives, technical discussions, and process improvement.
- Continue developing technical skills while identifying opportunities to improve code quality and performance.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
- At least 3 years of hands-on professional software engineering experience developing, testing, and deploying software is required.
- Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills with the ability to write clean, testable code are required.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum teams is required.
- Experience building or working with RESTful APIs and web applications using technologies such as React and FastAPI is required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical concepts clearly is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Spring Boot, React, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, microservices, and automated testing.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated industry is preferred.
