Base Salary
$93k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native services and microservices.
- Build highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Own service components and drive features from design through deployment.
- Analyze system performance and implement scalability and reliability improvements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call, incident-response, and postmortem activities.
- Contribute to software design reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and technical direction.
- Build automation, improve monitoring and alerting, and reduce operational toil.
- Collaborate with Product Management and partner engineering teams.
- Mentor interns and junior engineers on day-to-day engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, asynchronous programming, cloud computing, and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development practices.
- Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and PCI DSS.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management systems is preferred.
- Experience operating production cloud services is preferred.
- Familiarity with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Familiarity with observability tools covering metrics, logging, and tracing is preferred.
