Base Salary
$161k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the multi-year architecture roadmap for a large-scale platform.
- Provide technical direction and architectural governance across multiple delivery teams.
- Lead design reviews and serve as an escalation point for complex technical decisions.
- Balance availability, scalability, security, and compliance requirements in architecture decisions.
- Design and implement software with attention to performance, reliability, scalability, extensibility, and maintainability.
- Evaluate and test internally developed, third-party, and other engineering staff’s software.
- Document software design, implementation, and testing, and repair software errors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams on Product Engineering projects.
- Use source code management and work tracking tools such as GitHub and JIRA.
- Mentor senior engineers and raise the organization’s technical standards.
- Develop effective working relationships with peers and team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in Research & Development roles.
- Experience with Go or C#, React, Java, and Jenkins.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Experience with healthcare environments.
- Experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, highly available cloud architectures using AWS services and infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Web development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to balance customer requirements, technical constraints, and architectural best practices in complex design decisions.
- Master’s or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with REST architecture, multiple database implementations such as MySQL, SQL Server, and non-relational databases, and global teams preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
