Responsibilities
- Build and manage a team of developers and analysts developing and maintaining software to defend against cheating, piracy, and other threats.
- Own a process framework covering security-threat monitoring, investigation, identification, and mitigation.
- Develop in-house reverse-engineering capabilities to analyze and report on malicious code.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices into the development environment.
- Support QA in building capabilities to validate and safely release defensive software.
Requirements
- Extensive experience successfully delivering anti-cheat and DRM functionality for C++ software in a senior or leadership role.
- Strong expertise implementing anti-cheat techniques and digital rights management technologies, with the ability to develop those skills in team members.
- Demonstrable experience reverse-engineering and analyzing game cheats, DRM circumvention, and similar abuse vectors.
- Deep understanding of PE and ELF file formats and tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.
- Experience shipping or operating online, multiplayer, or live-service games at scale is desirable.
- Knowledge of cryptography and network protocols, including tools such as OpenSSL and Wireshark, is desirable.
- Published security research, responsible disclosure, public white-hat work, or familiarity with the Windows Resiliency Initiative is desirable.
