Responsibilities
- Develop application software and control functions for Bosch Rexroth BODAS ECUs and displays used in off-highway machinery.
- Design customer-specific solutions using ECUs, displays, sensors, joysticks, application software modules, and IoT products.
- Collect and finalize customer requirements and support project discussions and sign-off.
- Create technical documentation according to Bosch Rexroth internal processes.
- Provide technical training to customers on BODAS products and software or system solutions.
- Define software and development-environment enhancements, including bug fixes and additional requirements integration.
- Perform on-site commissioning and testing at customer factories and during end-customer field trials across India.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, or Mechatronics.
- 2–6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Expertise in C programming for microcontrollers and embedded application software development for ECUs and displays.
- Experience developing machine-control functions and hydraulic applications for wheel loaders, excavators, tractors, or similar off-highway machinery.
- Experience with embedded software engineering methods and tools, including C, MATLAB, Simulink, CANalyzer, and ETAS INCA.
- Experience developing control devices and implementing safety functions according to relevant mobile-machine standards.
- Strong instrumentation knowledge, including sensors, actuators, and CAN or Ethernet communication.
- Knowledge of CAN, SAE J1939, CAN FD, ISOBUS, LIN, UDS, KWP 2000, EEPROM, SPI, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
- Knowledge of CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL, and Perl, along with embedded software debugging skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrohydraulics, including pumps, motors, and proportional valves.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Desirable knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture, basic software integration, and IoT integration or testing at the machine level.
