Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and scale a regional Field Engineering team supporting enterprise opportunities.
- Partner with Sales leadership and Account Executives on technical discovery, demos, proofs of concept, and technical deal strategy.
- Establish best practices for evaluations and proof-of-concept execution.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex customer evaluations and high-stakes enterprise deals.
- Hire, onboard, and develop Field Engineering talent while establishing expectations and career paths.
- Communicate customer and prospect insights to Product and Engineering.
- Ensure effective handoffs to post-sales teams for customer onboarding and adoption.
- Maintain knowledge of Cursor’s product, roadmap, and competitive landscape.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience leading Field Engineers, Solutions Architects, or pre-sales teams in enterprise software.
- Strong technical foundation and fluency in modern software development workflows, AI tooling, and developer productivity.
- Proven ability to partner with Sales while maintaining technical integrity and customer trust.
- Comfort operating in customer-facing, high-pressure deal environments and guiding teams through complexity.
- Strong communication skills and executive presence with the ability to engage developers, architects, and CTOs.
- Builder mindset and ability to create structure in a fast-moving startup environment.
