Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate security application frameworks and solutions for a Kubernetes-based developer platform spanning multiple cloud providers.
- Embed security into every stage of the development lifecycle in partnership with platform and product engineering teams.
- Build secure-by-default platform initiatives and developer-focused security guardrails.
- Collaborate with security engineers and architects across Apple to identify, define, and design security solutions.
- Drive complex security projects from conception through production.
Requirements
- Experience in platform security, infrastructure and application software engineering, or a closely related security engineering discipline.
- Experience with Go, Kotlin or Java, and Spring Framework.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly with diverse audiences and global teams.
- Experience with identity and access management frameworks is preferred.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes security, including RBAC, admission control, pod security standards, network policy, and workload identity, is preferred.
- Experience implementing security controls across at least two major cloud providers is preferred.
- Experience hardening containers and orchestration, including image provenance, runtime and network policy, service mesh configuration, and microservice isolation, is preferred.
- Experience with supply chain security and vulnerability management is preferred.
- Practical experience with OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML, mutual TLS, PKI, encryption, and signing primitives is preferred.
- Fluency with coding agents and LLM-based development tooling, including judgment about when to trust their output, is preferred.
- A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and skills in application development and security is preferred.
