Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs.
- Identify system enhancements by analyzing and interpreting code and using scripting tools.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups to recommend programming solutions.
- Install, support, test, debug, and troubleshoot customer-facing application systems.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues.
- Identify problems, evaluate information, and implement solutions with limited supervision.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
- Assess and manage technology, compliance, control, and operational risks.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Experience with Oracle, Visual Basic, and .NET.
- Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes.
- Experience in development, new projects, and application support.
- Experience in the insurance sector, GitHub RLM, and Crystal Reports is desirable.
