Base Salary
$78k - $86k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure common infrastructure solutions for U.S. Navy surface ship systems.
- Test and troubleshoot solutions in a laboratory environment.
- Create documentation supporting a rigorous engineering process.
- Collaborate with an agile team to solve problems and meet project commitments.
- Support secure, stable, and flexible infrastructure for Surface Ship Systems Programs.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at the time of hire, with eligibility for access to classified information required.
- Preferred experience with Linux Server and/or Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server technologies.
- Preferred experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible.
- Preferred experience designing, configuring, and securing virtual machines using VMware and Proxmox.
- Understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards.
- IT experience including systems administration, scanning and vulnerability management, and end-user support.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or the ability to obtain it.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, presentation, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
