Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a business-applicable software delivery project using a range of technologies and processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering experts and take on increasing responsibility during the eight-week internship.
  • Gain experience in performance benchmarking, testing, DevOps, security, and Generative AI applications in software engineering.
  • Present work and findings to colleagues and fellow interns.
  • Participate in online testing, a video interview, a coding assessment, and a virtual assessment centre as part of the application process.

Requirements

  • Be in the penultimate year of university and on course to achieve a 2:1 degree in a technical, analytical, or mathematical discipline.
  • Have an A* in Maths and an A in two further A Level or equivalent subjects.
  • Be familiar with a software development language such as C#, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Be familiar with web technologies such as HTML/CSS or JavaScript.
  • Understand the basic principles of software development.
  • Demonstrate interest in current and emerging technologies, problem-solving ability, mathematical and analytical thinking, communication skills, teamwork, and eagerness to learn.
