Base Salary
$152k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software that interfaces with laboratory instruments to capture data from high- and low-throughput experiments.
- Build scalable pipelines for automated processing of instrument data.
- Collaborate with computational and experimental teams to define data models and schemas for samples and scientific data.
- Develop APIs and tools to aggregate data for analysis and visualization.
- Participate in configuring and managing LIMS/ELN systems.
- Gather requirements from scientists, translate them into system designs, and drive cross-functional technical execution at senior levels.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C#.
- Understanding of laboratory workflows and data.
- Experience with ELN/LIMS systems; Benchling experience is preferred.
- Experience developing software integrations for laboratory instruments.
- Experience developing data models and schemas for scientific samples and data.
- Working knowledge of SQL database queries and table design.
- Experience with cloud computing environments; AWS experience is preferred.
- Senior candidates should have 5+ years of industry experience building and deploying data capture and analytics solutions for scientific data.
- Earlier-career candidates may qualify through strong academic or early industry experience in scientific data analysis, database design, data integration, or scientific data modeling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
