Responsibilities
- Define data and AI platform strategy across web applications, APIs, data pipelines, and AI-enabled services.
- Drive scalable, cloud-native architectures on AWS using Databricks as a core data and AI platform.
- Establish engineering standards, design patterns, and best practices across web, data, and AI domains.
- Ensure platforms meet enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the design and evolution of web applications and services using Java, Python, and modern web architectures.
- Oversee RESTful APIs, microservices, and UI-driven applications integrated with enterprise data platforms.
- Provide technical leadership for enterprise-scale data engineering solutions.
- Oversee batch and streaming data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and PySpark on AWS.
- Lead the integration of AI/ML tools and techniques into web and data platforms.
- Enable AI-ready datasets, feature engineering pipelines, and model inference capabilities.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in software and data engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Python development.
- Proven experience leading enterprise web applications, APIs, and services.
- Deep experience in data engineering and large-scale platforms.
- Significant experience with Databricks on AWS, including Spark and PySpark.
- Practical production or enterprise experience applying AI/ML tools and techniques.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, security, and governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with AI/ML platform patterns, MLOps, or model lifecycle management.
- Exposure to risk, regulatory, finance, or highly governed environments is preferred.
- Cloud, Databricks, or AI-related certifications are preferred.
- Experience working with global or distributed engineering teams is preferred.
