Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
- Break complex and ambiguous problems into well-defined, solvable components.
- Contribute to scalable and reliable services, including distributed-systems work where applicable.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on correctness and maintainability.
- Write technical documentation and clean, maintainable code using software design best practices.
- Use GenAI and AI-assisted development tools while validating and integrating generated code appropriately.
- Participate in operational responsibilities such as monitoring, troubleshooting, production issue resolution, and on-call duties.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in or have completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Have knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
- Understand computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
- Have experience using AI-assisted development tools in an academic or professional setting.
- Have at least one quarter, semester, or trimester remaining in studies after the internship concludes.
- Preferred qualifications include technical internship or project experience, experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, SQL or NoSQL database systems, open-source contributions, debugging, and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Preferred qualifications include strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, ownership, initiative, and a basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
