Responsibilities
- Design and own scalable UI test architecture and frameworks used across multiple frontend teams.
- Build and maintain cross-browser and visual regression testing suites.
- Establish automated and manual accessibility testing practices integrated into CI.
- Design and maintain localization and globalization test coverage across locales, languages, and RTL layouts.
- Verify out-of-the-box configurations and default behaviors across supported environments.
- Review requirements and design specifications to create test plans and quality strategies for platform and frontend initiatives.
- Plan cross-team quality engineering efforts with engineering management.
- Document QE architecture and plans for scrum teams to review and adopt.
- Respond to production issues, alerts, and customer issues during an on-call rotation.
- Mentor SDETs, new hires, and interns and influence engineering-wide quality standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of quality engineering experience with deep hands-on test automation expertise.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including the ability to read and write production-quality frontend code.
- Hands-on experience with modern UI testing technologies such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience with cross-browser testing, visual regression testing, accessibility testing, and localization/globalization testing.
- Experience designing test architectures and frameworks from the ground up.
- Ability to set technical direction for other engineers and operate with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and provide architectural input.
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
