Base Salary

$152k - $228k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and continuously improve observability, monitoring, audit, logging, tracing, metrics, and security telemetry solutions across distributed cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Integrate and optimize telemetry pipelines with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, APM, cloud-native security tools, and AI-assisted analytics platforms.
  • Partner with security operations, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, engineering, infrastructure, compliance, and development teams to establish escalation paths and response workflows.
  • Identify, prioritize, remediate, and validate vulnerabilities while supporting patch management, security hardening, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Maintain and upgrade SIEM deployments and implement Infrastructure as Code, Policy as Code, and Security as Code automation.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and weekend support for operational incidents, security events, and critical platform issues.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to FedRAMP compliance obligations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience in security operations, monitoring, detection engineering, or incident response.
  • Hands-on experience with logging, monitoring, SIEM, and dashboarding tools such as AWS GuardDuty, Sumo Logic, Grafana, CrowdStrike, Datadog, Splunk, and Thycotic.
  • Working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including native security and observability services.
  • Understanding of log handling and telemetry pipelines, including collection, normalization, downstream integration, and alert configuration and tuning.
  • Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java, or Shell.
  • Experience with CI/CD and vulnerability scanning using a shift-left approach.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and/or OpenStack.
  • Security+ certification, GSEC, or CISSP is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP is a plus.
