- Create control and estimation algorithms for window control, closure systems, lighting, and other body-control features.
- Lead the design and integration of body-control hardware components on benches, bucks, labcars, and vehicles.
- Collaborate with software integration, electrical hardware, systems, architecture, and other teams to bring up functions and define feature boundaries and validation strategies.
- Participate in functional safety analyses and author subsystem block diagrams and reviews across vehicle program phases.
- Develop test plans and perform component-level testing of firmware functionality, stability, performance, and low-power modes.
- Set up automation frameworks for unit, SIL, and HIL testing and support hardware validation, labcar testing, system debugging, and code optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
- At least 3 years of experience writing production-grade C for real-time embedded systems and understanding coding standards such as MISRA C.
- Hands-on experience with RTOS environments and bare-metal embedded software, including low-level debugging, hardware bring-up, and optimization for timing, memory, and low-power constraints.
- At least 3 years of experience with electrical hardware applications, prototype bring-up, and systems development.
- At least 3 years of experience with vehicle network protocols including CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet, plus embedded networking interface tools.
- Experience with vehicle architecture, battery technologies, software and hardware tool development, motor calibration, OBD calibration, functional safety, networking, and diagnostics processes.
- Experience creating and executing component-level test procedures and owning test results.
