Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and RESTful API endpoints.
- Build scalable and maintainable APIs supporting integrations between applications and services.
- Develop and integrate front-end functionality using React and JavaScript technologies.
- Troubleshoot application and API issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with developers, technical leads, architects, stakeholders, and other technical team members to deliver enhancements.
- Support existing applications and take on additional tasks needed to meet project objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Ruby on Rails application development experience.
- Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience with React, JavaScript, and modern web application development.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and efficient database queries.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and software development best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
- U.S. citizenship, successful completion of a background check, and ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance when required.
