Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, verify, and validate real-time embedded software across the full V-model lifecycle.
- Perform requirements analysis, software architecture, detailed design, implementation, code integration, verification, validation, and test execution.
- Develop Stores Management Computer and Station Carriage Control Unit software for the Stores Management System and Computing Platform team.
- Implement embedded software using C, C++, and/or Ada, bare-metal drivers, and real-time operating systems.
- Develop software targeting the AMD/Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC and integrate MIL-STD-1553 data bus communications.
- Execute software verification activities using unit test frameworks, Robot Framework, LDRA, VectorCAST, and custom embedded test applications.
- Apply software safety, certification, and airworthiness standards including DO-178, MIL-HDBK-516C, and/or JSSSEH.
- Support proposal and capture efforts with technical inputs, estimates, and development approach documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on software solutions for an undisclosed program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4–6 years of experience developing real-time embedded software.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Ada.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle from requirements through verification.
- Experience with bare-metal drivers and RTOS-based systems.
- Experience with software verification methods, tools, and test execution.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Stores Management System, Stores Management Computer, or Station Carriage Control Unit development experience; MIL-STD-1553 integration; AMD/Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC development; Robot Framework, LDRA, VectorCAST, or equivalent test frameworks; embedded test applications; and safety-critical or airworthiness standards experience.
