Responsibilities
- Build and ship features across the iOS and Android apps, then specialize in the platform where you can have the most impact.
- Write clean, tested production code and participate in code reviews from the first weeks.
- Improve app performance, stability, and pixel-perfect user interface quality.
- Collaborate with firmware, ML, and hardware teams on Pod features including Bluetooth connectivity and sleep insights.
- Use AI tools to prototype, automate repetitive work, and help build AI-powered app features.
- Investigate root causes, own problems through resolution, and follow fixes through to production.
Requirements
- Have built and shipped mobile projects through a published App Store or Play Store app, portfolio project, or meaningful internship work.
- Have solid fundamentals in Swift and SwiftUI or Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with curiosity to learn the other platform.
- Demonstrate initiative through side projects, open-source contributions, hackathon wins, or other self-directed work.
- Be fluent in English and comfortable using tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in the engineering workflow.
- Have a high bar for product quality and user interface detail and be able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Be graduating soon or have graduated within the last 12 months with a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Have legal permission to work in the EU and be willing to work from Milan.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with both iOS and Android, async/await, Combine, Coroutines, Flow, MVVM, MVI, hardware projects, Bluetooth peripherals, Apple Watch, widgets, health-related apps, testing frameworks, or modular codebases.
