Base Salary
$172k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of large-scale multimodal foundation-model-based perception systems.
- Architect and scale synthetic data generation and sensor simulation for edge cases and closed-loop evaluation.
- Transfer knowledge from large teacher or foundation models to efficient real-time onboard perception models using distillation and post-training techniques.
- Productionize and deploy perception solutions to autonomous vehicle fleets.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to senior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in machine learning, computer science, robotics, or a related field.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in machine learning, computer science, robotics, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- In-depth understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
- Experience designing, training, and analyzing neural networks for applications such as object detection, segmentation, visual classification, motion or gesture recognition, sensor fusion, multitask learning, multi-object tracking, or end-to-end perception.
- Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Fluency in Python, including scientific computing libraries and Python bindings development.
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, source control, build processes, code reviews, and testing methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience mentoring and leading others.
- Preferred experience includes foundation models, vision-language models, multimodal transformers, world models, generative video or lidar prediction, scene synthesis, sensor simulation, knowledge distillation, model compression, synthetic data generation, multimodal automated labeling, and publications in conferences such as CVPR, ICML, NeurIPS, ICCV, or ECCV.
