Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot software components for technical products, applications, and systems.
- Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when developing solutions.
- Use software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve engineering outcomes.
- Apply technical troubleshooting to solve problems of basic complexity.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for secure software and system development.
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Ability to code in one or more programming languages.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, continuous integration and continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security.
- Emerging knowledge of a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
