Base Salary
$133k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and scale backend services and front-end surfaces for membership benefits, rewards, and engagement.
- Build and iterate on APIs and UI components for Chime's mobile app.
- Own projects end to end, including architecture, API design, implementation, and ongoing code health.
- Partner with product, design, data science, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand member needs and define experiments.
- Use member and business metrics to prioritize work and measure impact.
Requirements
- At least two years of software development experience in a production environment at scale.
- Proven experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as React, React Native, or TypeScript-based frameworks.
- Experience with transactional databases, caching systems, and API design.
- Experience working across the stack and willingness to learn new technologies.
- A product mindset focused on experimentation, iteration, and measuring impact.
- Collaborative communication skills and experience working cross-functionally.
- Experience with experimentation frameworks and data-driven product development is a plus.
