Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, integrate, test, debug, document, and support complex information systems and enterprise workflow solutions.
- Develop IBM BAW/BPM processes, human services, coaches, dashboards, toolkits, reusable components, business objects, and exception-handling frameworks.
- Integrate workflow and decision-management solutions with enterprise systems through REST APIs, SOAP web services, JMS/MQ messaging, databases, and stored procedures.
- Lead platform upgrades, migrations, modernization initiatives, deployments, troubleshooting, performance tuning, optimization, and root cause analysis.
- Establish coding and development standards, conduct architecture and code reviews, mentor developers, and provide expert technical guidance.
- Gather requirements, perform technical estimation, support solution design, and collaborate with business, architecture, QA, infrastructure, and delivery teams.
- Develop and implement system test plans, data verification methods, and standard operating procedures.
- Respond to system failures and performance events to reduce downtime and prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- At least five years of systems and programming experience.
- At least five years of hands-on IBM BPM 8.x and/or IBM BAW 20.x, 21.x, or 24.x experience.
- At least three years of hands-on IBM Operational Decision Manager experience.
- At least one year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards.
- At least one year of expert working knowledge of a programming language used at BCBST.
- Proficiency with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, SQL Server, DB2, enterprise databases, data modeling, production support, and performance optimization.
- Experience with requirements gathering, BABOK practices, architecture reviews, solution design, technical estimation, code reviews, mentoring, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Proven analysis, design, coding, leadership, communication, organization, and ability to translate complex technical concepts for technical and business audiences.
