Base Salary

$86k - $102k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software products.
  • Write production-ready, testable code and take ownership of software artifacts.
  • Create scalable, reliable, and performant technical designs that follow architectural best practices.
  • Analyze failures, propose design changes, and improve operational practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide guidance on engineering best practices and development procedures.
  • Ensure product development follows compliance and security best practices.
  • Apply software reliability engineering standards throughout development.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, scrum masters, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and size work for incremental delivery and communicate blockers and delays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Two to three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle practices and DevOps principles.
  • Ability to understand features, affected users and flows, and feature purpose.
  • Ability to define and fulfill solutions requirements for end users.
  • Proficiency with algorithms, data structures, architectural design patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
