Software Engineering & Development, SrAssc
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions for IMSWest remediation initiatives.
- Modernize applications, reduce technical debt, automate manual processes, and improve platform stability, resilience, data quality, and controls effectiveness.
- Implement remediation for audit findings, control gaps, operational risks, and stability concerns.
- Perform code reviews and develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Support CI/CD adoption, automation initiatives, production issue investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with global development teams, business analysts, product owners, architects, Production Support, SRE, and Observability teams.
- Participate in on-call support, critical incident response, monitoring and diagnostics improvements, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java and object-oriented design.
- Experience with REST APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, and modern development tools.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies, software governance, and change management standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: experience in financial services or mission-critical enterprise applications; knowledge of AWS or Azure; familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or other monitoring platforms; and experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automation frameworks, application support, and production environments.
