Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, validate, and deploy cybersecurity automation, platform configurations, and tooling integrations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation content, integrations, and configurations as platforms, vendors, and data sources change.
- Implement and configure vendor-provided and internally developed security products.
- Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and task-level documentation.
- Work with CSOC functions to understand underlying problems and identify systemic process improvements.
- Identify and escalate automation, technology, and cross-team control gaps.
- Represent the PTO team in APAC and collaborate with regional CSOC stakeholders.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and observations to team members and requesting stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, systems engineering, or a related technical role such as analyst, detection engineer, security engineer, or incident responder.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining automations on a low-code/no-code platform such as SOAR.
- Practical exposure to SOC technologies including EDR, threat intelligence platforms, email analysis, malware sandboxing, network intrusion detection, or data loss prevention.
- Experience with data storage and retrieval systems such as SIEM, databases, or data lakes.
- Moderate Python skills sufficient to build, understand, and maintain automation content.
- Ability to break down complex processes and identify concrete improvement opportunities.
- Strong technical problem-solving, critical-thinking, listening, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Python or scripting skills for custom integrations and vendor API work.
- Preferred hands-on administration or engineering experience with one or more SOC product categories.
- Preferred experience applying version control or CI/CD practices to automation content.
- Preferred familiarity with GenAI tools for CSOC triage, summarization, or investigation workflows.
