Base Salary
$115k - $153k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, build, test, and deploy custom software solutions using Smartsheet, its APIs, and third-party APIs.
- Design and build AI-powered workflows and automations using LLMs, AI agents, and Smartsheet’s native AI capabilities.
- Lead technical consulting engagements, design sessions, technical requirements definition, and architecture validation.
- Design, document, prototype, and iteratively refine technical solutions with customers.
- Own solutions from discovery through deployment, adoption, and production refinement.
- Build reusable components, frameworks, and accelerators for future customer engagements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Smartsheet capabilities and API-based AI extensibility.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, deadlines, client relationships, and technical delivery.
- Drive custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of Smartsheet implementations.
- Maintain target billable utilization and provide product feedback to Product and Platform Engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.
- Working experience with at least two of .NET, Node.js, Python, Java, and Ruby.
- Full-stack development skills and the ability to independently design, build, and ship production-quality applications.
- Experience integrating AI or LLM technologies into applications through APIs, including prompt engineering and AI agent design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
- Experience with customer-facing technical work, enterprise SaaS or iPaaS applications, data integration, and integrating SaaS applications with business systems.
- Understanding of systems architecture, scalable performance-driven solutions, design patterns, and large-data-volume best practices.
- Ability to drive projects from concept through completion, rapidly prototype based on customer feedback, and operate autonomously in changing environments.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills for explaining technical subjects to enterprise users.
- Willingness to travel periodically, up to 15%.
- A bachelor’s degree in MIS, CIS, or computer science is preferred but not required.
