Base Salary
$180k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical direction for Android experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs.
- Lead complex initiatives from product and technical strategy through architecture, implementation, experimentation, launch, and long-term evolution.
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Data Scientists on roadmaps, product decisions, and customer-impacting solutions.
- Establish engineering standards, architecture patterns, and development practices that improve quality, scalability, maintainability, and developer velocity.
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, unblock critical decisions, and raise execution, craftsmanship, and collaboration standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience developing Android applications, including leading large-scale or technically complex mobile initiatives.
- Deep proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java and strong expertise in Android SDK fundamentals and architecture patterns such as MVVM.
- Strong experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, Retrofit, and Room in complex production environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, drive architecture across multiple projects or surfaces, mentor senior engineers, and elevate engineering standards.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for influencing cross-functional partners and aligning teams around technical and product direction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
