Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites as code using Java.
- Create Cucumber BDD scenarios and automate REST API testing for OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect authentication and authorization flows.
- Develop integration tests with JUnit 5, Testcontainers, and WireMock.
- Validate gematik specifications through traceable, evidence-based test reporting.
- Manage test execution and reporting with Jira Xray and related test management tools.
- Extend automation into UI, mobile, and performance testing when appropriate.
- Improve automated testing stages within CI/CD pipelines.
- Explore and implement AI-assisted test generation and automation techniques.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and DevOps teams through code reviews and documentation.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, or SDET roles.
- Strong Java programming skills and a test-as-code mindset.
- Hands-on experience with API test automation, REST Assured or Postman, Cucumber BDD, JUnit 5, and TDD principles.
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC-based authentication testing.
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development practices.
- A quality-focused approach to traceability, compliance validation, and test evidence management.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with Testcontainers, WireMock, Selenium, Appium, Apache JMeter, Pact or similar contract testing frameworks, and Jira Xray.
- Preferred experience with AI-assisted test automation tools, Python, healthcare, digital identity, cybersecurity, or regulated industries.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification and German language skills are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with an ownership mindset and ability to work in cross-functional Agile teams.
