Responsibilities
- Design and evolve scalable, reliable, secure, and multi-region cloud platforms.
- Own Kubernetes cluster architecture, networking, workloads, scaling, reliability, and operational patterns.
- Improve developer experience from local development through CI/CD and production.
- Design and optimize network topology for connectivity, latency, throughput, and resilience.
- Build meaningful observability and monitoring for engineering and operations.
- Support infrastructure for stateful and distributed systems.
- Partner with software engineers on infrastructure and architecture decisions.
- Evaluate AI-powered engineering and infrastructure tools for platform workflows.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation and improve reliability through automation and reduced alert noise.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or a closely related field.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and operating production cloud infrastructure; AWS experience is preferred.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native application operations.
- Strong Linux, networking, distributed systems, and infrastructure-as-code knowledge.
- Experience with networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud networking.
- Experience building software delivery platforms and CI/CD pipelines from pull request to production.
- Solid scripting or software engineering skills, preferably in Python or Go.
- Experience designing observability and monitoring for complex production systems.
- Hands-on experience using AI-powered development or infrastructure tooling.
- Strong English and Hungarian communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with software engineering teams in complex production environments.
- Ability to take ownership of ambiguous infrastructure problems and design solutions.
- Database administration experience, particularly with MySQL, is a plus.
- Experience with Temporal or similar durable execution and workflow technologies is a plus.
- Experience with data-intensive platforms, multi-region infrastructure, internal developer platforms, self-service infrastructure, or platform abstractions is a plus.
- Fast-moving product or startup experience is a strong advantage.
