Responsibilities
- Train, tune, and test ASR models for multiple languages using machine learning and deep learning techniques.
- Integrate ASR technologies into SoundHound products and optimize model accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Run benchmarks and develop customized ASR solutions for customer-specific and product-specific challenges.
- Triage and troubleshoot customer-related ASR issues and provide timely solutions.
- Lead technical initiatives to design and build tools and features for SoundHound ASR technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline plus eight years of full-time experience, or a master's degree plus six years of full-time experience.
- Experience with automatic speech recognition, keyword detection, or natural language understanding.
- Understanding of deep learning and neural network fundamentals, with proficiency in deep learning frameworks.
- Proficiency writing production-level Python code.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies in a cloud service environment.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives.
- Preferred experience includes Kaldi, PyTorch, TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite, end-to-end ASR pipelines, NLP techniques related to ASR, ASR model development and deployment, customer collaboration, and production-level C++.
