Responsibilities
- Design, plan, configure, deploy, and support storage technologies, including capacity planning and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end applications using C++ and C in Unix/Linux environments.
- Design and implement large-scale, multi-tier software and storage systems.
- Write product requirement specifications and technical documentation.
- Perform code analysis and reviews of other developers’ work.
- Develop and integrate code, implement test strategies, and address software defects.
- Collaborate with developers and communicate project status to support high-quality products.
- Troubleshoot software and storage environments and participate in the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience, with the posting describing a range of 5+ to 8+ years.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills using C++.
- In-depth experience building end-to-end applications for Unix environments.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Unix, and Linux, with familiarity with Windows environments.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and threads.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale, multi-tier applications.
- Understanding of web services on Windows and Unix.
- Familiarity with networking protocols including TCP/IP and TLS/SSL.
- Understanding of security fundamentals such as authentication and cryptography is desirable.
- Experience with Unix build and automation processes.
- Knowledge of Java, cloud technologies, security, and REST clients is advantageous.
- Ability to drive design and development, work independently or in a team, communicate effectively, and take initiative.
