Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain emulation software and simulation models.
- Translate business requirements and abstract concepts into functional software solutions.
- Create digital representations of automated logistics systems and processes.
- Develop models of transportation, sortation, and storage equipment.
- Integrate communication with external systems, reporting tools, and data analysis capabilities.
- Improve software quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders across Vanderlande.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of software development experience.
- Strong interest in software modelling, system behaviour, and complex technical challenges.
- Affinity with graph-based structures, 3D emulation, or simulation models.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, TFS, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, ownership, and prioritization skills.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication.
- Preferred: model-based development, requirements engineering, industrial software development, logistics automation, Atlassian tools, Java, IntelliJ, and experience with globally distributed teams.
