Base Salary

$154k - $208k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor on generative AI solutions for Education, State & Local Government, GovTech, and EdTech customers.
  • Lead architecture design sessions, technical deep dives, prototypes, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements.
  • Guide customers on generative AI architectures, model selection, fine-tuning, RAG patterns, and responsible AI implementation.
  • Partner with account teams on strategic planning and contribute technical expertise to accelerate sales cycles.
  • Present generative AI topics at AWS Summits, re:Invent, and industry conferences.
  • Create external content including blogs, whitepapers, demos, workshops, and GitHub repositories.
  • Deliver internal enablement sessions and mentor field members on public-sector generative AI requirements.
  • Channel customer requirements and feature requests to AWS service teams and participate in beta programs and roadmap reviews.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, newsletters, and Highspot content.
  • Obtain AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification within 6 months and Professional certification within 18 months.
  • Stay current on generative AI services, emerging architectures, and the competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure.
  • 8+ years of experience in relevant technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders or clients.
  • Preferred cloud technology certification, such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering.
  • Knowledge of AWS services, cloud architecture, market segments, customer bases, and industry verticals.
  • Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
  • Knowledge of foundation model selection, deployment, fine-tuning, guardrails, and knowledge bases.
