Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Java and Spring Boot middleware applications.
- Architect and optimize Oracle, SQL, and MongoDB database interactions for performance and data integrity.
- Drive adoption and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and integrate AI-assisted development practices.
- Collaborate with product management, QA, operations, users, and technology groups to define requirements and deliver software.
- Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers and provide technical guidance to lower-level analysts.
- Research and evaluate AI technologies for developer productivity, automation, software quality, and development workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and maintain the stability and performance of production systems.
- Contribute to middleware platform strategy, technical roadmaps, feasibility studies, estimates, IT planning, and risk assessment.
- Monitor development lifecycle phases from analysis through implementation and provide user and operational support.
- Recommend and develop application security measures and assess business, system, and industry processes.
- Consult with clients and technology groups, recommend programming solutions, and assist with customer-facing systems.
- Help define operating standards and procedures while assessing business risk and protecting company, client, and firm assets.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Java, including multithreading, collections, garbage collection, and JVM internals; Java 11/17 is preferred, with JDK 8+ experience required.
- Extensive experience with Spring Framework technologies, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience with Oracle schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Experience with MongoDB data modeling, querying, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Maven or Gradle, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Git and standard branching strategies such as Gitflow.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito and with integration testing.
- Familiarity with SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON web technologies.
- Practical experience with Devin, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Anti Gravity, and Codex.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, and integrating AI into software development workflows.
- Ability and interest in applying AI technologies to improve software development processes and outcomes.
- Ability to mentor engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, evaluate complex technical problems, and provide technical guidance.

- Base salary range of $107,120.00 to $160,680.00, plus potential eligible discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
