Lead Software Engineer - Java Backend Lead +AWS
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Designs, develops, troubleshoots, reviews, and debugs secure, high-quality production software.
- Leads adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and automation practices with validation standards for correctness, performance, and security.
- Architects, deploys, and operates scalable AWS cloud-native services.
- Identifies and automates remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Leads vendor, startup, and internal architecture evaluation sessions.
- Drives software engineering communities of practice and promotes reuse of effective technical patterns.
- Delivers system design, application development, testing, automation, continuous delivery, and operational stability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI engineering practices, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Advanced proficiency in J2EE and Core Java, including Java 17, collections, streaming, multithreading, concurrency, regular expressions, annotations, and enums.
- In-depth experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, MVC, and SOAP/RESTful web services.
- Strong AWS experience with cloud architecture, deployment, and operations, including IAM, VPC, EC2, EKS, SQS, S3, RDS, ALB/NLB, Secrets Manager, and ElastiCache.
- Experience with JIRA, Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
- Experience with web security topics including OAuth 2.0, ADFS, Kerberos, cross-site scripting, and HTTP injection.
- Preferred qualifications include financial services industry and IT systems knowledge and practical cloud-native experience.
