Base Salary
$191k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain market data components including feed handlers, normalization pipelines, distribution systems, and venue connectivity.
- Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput services for real-time market data consumed by trading systems.
- Improve reliability and performance through observability, on-call participation, and incident response.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to engineering standards.
- Partner with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver institutional trading capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend engineering experience building and maintaining production low-latency systems.
- Hands-on experience with market data infrastructure such as feed handlers, normalization, or distribution.
- Proficiency in low-latency Java or C++ and familiarity with Aeron, SBE, or similar high-throughput messaging frameworks.
- Familiarity with venue or exchange connectivity and market data protocols including FIX, ITCH/OUCH, and multicast.
- Experience shipping features end-to-end and operating systems in production.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
