Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Plan and perform software quality assurance engineering activities for projects of moderate complexity.
- Create, revise, and execute test plans, test cases, manual tests, and automated functional and regression tests.
- Configure and implement test environments for software, firmware, web services, and web-based user interfaces.
- Detect, document, investigate, validate, and track software defects and submit software defect reports and change requests.
- Review requirements, defect reports, log files, runtime documentation, and test coverage for correctness and completeness.
- Test web services for functionality, load, and scalability and test HTML5-based user interfaces and database-backed software.
- Collaborate with software and firmware developers, project managers, and cross-functional R&D and architecture teams.
- Support solution design, development, documentation, validation, prototype building, test data creation, and released-product escalations.
- Identify testing risks, propose mitigation solutions, and provide project status updates and escalations.
- Contribute to quality-process improvements, continuous-improvement initiatives, and innovative technology and solution development.
- Assist and mentor engineers and participate in recruitment and development activities.
- Follow software verification plans, standards, procedures, and company safety and ethics policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of test development and engineering experience.
- Strong written and oral communication, troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Two or more years of test-tool, test-automation, or production-level programming experience with Python, ANSI C/C++, or C# is preferred.
- Experience with Linux/Unix setup and configuration, software-development configuration issues, and the full software development life cycle.
- Experience testing web services for functionality, load, and scalability; HTML5 user interfaces; and software with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server database components.
- Experience with source control, automated build systems, Agile methodology, quality assurance test tools, and relevant development or validation methodologies.
- Ability to use standard computer applications and understand data, testing methodologies, development processes, tools, and frameworks.
- Knowledge of AMI and Smart Grid systems and solutions is preferred.
- Advanced design, development, or validation skills and the ability to complete and validate medium features with minimal oversight.
- Very good Windows experience and exposure to Google Cloud Platform.
- Ability to work with computer equipment for extended periods and occasionally drive, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift or move objects weighing 10–20 pounds.
- Ability to comply with OSHA and company safety requirements and use required protective equipment.
