Responsibilities
- Review customer and end-user specifications and support proposal development.
- Execute full-lifecycle software development and Knorr's software quality assurance processes.
- Prepare, maintain, and implement software documentation according to IEEE and EN standards.
- Prepare and review software design documentation submitted to customers.
- Oversee software verification and validation tasks and develop verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Write, integrate, troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, and deploy software systems.
- Support internal and external testing and evaluate user feedback.
- Collaborate with customers and other engineering departments to complete projects on schedule and according to requirements.
- Maintain compliance with project plans, industry standards, quality, product safety, HSE, and company policies.
Requirements
- Familiarity with embedded control system environments typical of Knorr hardware systems.
- Ability to execute the full software development lifecycle and produce well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Ability to produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
- Ability to integrate software components into fully functional systems.
- Ability to document and maintain software functionality and ensure software is updated with current features.
- Ability to comply with applicable standards including ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI.
- Ability to work with customers and cross-functional engineering groups.
- Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
