Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes deployments using Helm and Flux.
- Develop Java software using modern frameworks and libraries such as Spring and Guava.
- Design enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, and microservices-based solutions.
- Troubleshoot software and work across multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide mentorship, technical leadership, and guidance to engineering teams.
- Stay current with emerging software development trends and technologies.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of software engineering experience with a related bachelor's degree, 7 years of relevant experience with a related master's degree, or 13 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong Java software development experience and experience with modern Java frameworks and libraries.
- Experience with Kubernetes deployments, Helm, Flux, enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, microservices, Linux, and configuration-management tools.
- Experience with Git, Nexus, and Maven, plus demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, or engineering team management.
- U.S. citizenship is required; a current U.S. government security clearance is desired but not required, and Secret or TS clearances may be considered.
- Desired qualifications include AWS or Azure, custom Kubernetes operators and CRDs, Golang, Python, GitLab CI pipelines, distributed or NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr, JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub Enterprise.
- Strong testing, troubleshooting, learning, collaboration, and deadline-management skills are expected.
