Responsibilities
- Refactor, enhance, and maintain a lab automation framework for discrete-device measurement.
- Help define and establish a common lab automation backbone for discrete-device measurement, IC verification, and system validation.
- Maintain, support, and modernize legacy lab automation tools and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and development teams to capture requirements and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Advance lab automation through modern software engineering practices, data analytics, and AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in hardware-related software development.
- Advanced programming skills in Python, Matlab, and C/C++.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, software architecture, and system design.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with lab automation frameworks, test and measurement systems, PXI platforms, and instrument-driver development.
- Ideally, experience with virtual prototyping and simulation-based validation.
- Experience with automated data analysis and report generation.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and agentic AI systems such as GitHub Copilot.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaborative, and stakeholder-oriented skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English; German is a plus.
