Base Salary
$89k - $123k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify product risks early, define test coverage, and provide release-readiness recommendations throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with customers during field and site visits to validate real-world workflows and inform exploratory testing.
- Plan and execute functional, exploratory, regression, and release testing while maintaining test management records.
- Create and maintain web, API, and end-to-end automation using TypeScript and Playwright.
- Investigate failures, reproduce defects, analyze root causes, and author clear bug reports.
- Collaborate across functions to address recurring quality gaps and improve testing workflows.
- Integrate AI tooling into test design, regression maintenance, bug prioritization, and metrics analysis.
Requirements
- Demonstrated QA or Quality Engineering experience focused on web-based products and complex workflows.
- Hands-on automation experience with TypeScript, Playwright, or comparable web/API automation frameworks.
- Experience designing risk-based, customer-centered testing strategies and independently investigating failures using browser tools, logs, and APIs.
- Experience integrating and troubleshooting automated tests in CI/CD pipelines, including test selection, environment setup, and reporting.
- Practical experience using AI tools for test design, automation creation, or defect analysis.
- Strong communication skills for documenting defects, detailing test coverage, and communicating release risks.
- Familiarity with geospatial, mapping, 3D, or media-rich data products, or testing under load and performance constraints, is a plus.

- Base pay is listed separately in the compensation section, with potential eligibility for equity compensation and/or bonus incentive compensation.
- This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the Austin, Texas office.
- The role requires one to two trips per quarter to customer sites.
