Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-integrated solutions for client engagements.
- Integrate Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure ML, and AI Search, into production applications.
- Architect and build LLM-powered features, agentic workflows, and MCP integrations.
- Work directly with clients to understand requirements and translate them into working software.
- Set standards for code quality, engineering rigor, and AI-assisted delivery across engagements.
- Define repeatable AI delivery patterns, reusable tools, accelerators, and components.
- Research and prototype emerging AI technologies and support client proposals and proof-of-concept development.
- Champion AI-assisted development practices, mentor developers, and help shape AI product and delivery strategy.
Requirements
- Extensive full-stack development experience with one or more of React and Node.js, .NET and C#, or Python and FastAPI.
- Proven experience delivering production software on client-facing projects, preferably in consultancy or professional services.
- Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation architectures, or agentic AI development at scale.
- Experience integrating large language models and building AI-powered features in real-world applications.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, establish standards, mentor others, and define ways of working.
- Strong problem-solving skills, code quality, engineering rigor, communication, and stakeholder management.
- Experience working autonomously and turning ambiguity into repeatable, scalable delivery.
- Azure AI Engineer certification or equivalent practical experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of MCP, vector databases, and evaluation and testing approaches for AI systems.
- Experience mentoring or leading small development teams.
