Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve easybill-mobile for iOS and Android using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
- Translate invoicing and document requirements into clear mobile workflows and high-quality native interfaces.
- Extend the app architecture with maintainable navigation, reusable components, forms, and data-access structures.
- Integrate APIs and implement typed interfaces, validation, caching, loading states, error handling, authentication, and session management.
- Extend PHP and Symfony API endpoints when needed to support mobile functionality.
- Address performance, platform-specific behavior, changing network conditions, app switching, accessibility, and multilingual support.
- Write automated tests and validate behavior on simulators and physical devices.
- Contribute to build, release, monitoring, and app-store publication processes.
- Challenge requirements, propose solutions, and support features from ideation through release and continued improvement.
- Use AI tools such as Claude Code while maintaining the quality, clarity, and correctness of the resulting work.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience with TypeScript, React Native, and Expo, including taking mobile applications beyond implementation through release.
- Strong understanding of React, component architecture, state management, and asynchronous data flows.
- Knowledge of iOS and Android characteristics, with a systematic approach to performance issues, platform bugs, and debugging.
- Experience integrating APIs and understanding API contracts, authentication, validation, and error handling.
- Ability to understand existing API endpoints, diagnose app-backend issues, and independently extend interfaces.
- Experience with automated testing, maintainable code, and explainable technical decisions.
- PHP and Symfony knowledge is preferred for backend and API work.
- Independent, pragmatic working style with clear communication and customer focus.
- Fluent German and good English skills.
- Experience with EAS, native modules in Swift or Kotlin, app-store publication, mobile release processes, published apps, open-source contributions, or public GitHub experiments is a plus.
