Responsibilities
- Architect and build Legal AI infrastructure for automating high-volume legal work.
- Own the institutional client agreement automation system, creating an end-to-end workflow.
- Build a cohesive agent platform and governance layer for legal agents.
- Act as a technical thought partner to the VP and Legal leadership team.
- Define the make-vs-buy strategy for legal tech tools.
- Serve as a case study for engineering transformation in non-technical organizations.
Requirements
- 12+ years of backend software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems.
- Proven experience with LLM-based applications in production.
- Experience in multi-agent orchestration and collaboration.
- Exceptional communication skills with non-technical domain experts.
- Platform mindset focusing on reusability and standards.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Relentless drive to achieve ambitious goals in ambiguous environments.

- Base salary range of $253,895—$298,700 USD.
