Responsibilities
- Define and lead AI strategy for the Integrated engineering organization in alignment with business, product, architecture, security, and measurable outcome priorities.
- Identify, prioritize, and validate AI opportunities across product experiences, engineering workflows, developer productivity, quality engineering, operations, support, platform modernization, knowledge management, and partner ecosystems.
- Establish AI engineering standards, reusable patterns, reference architectures, evaluation approaches, knowledge-sharing forums, and mentoring practices.
- Champion responsible and secure AI adoption addressing privacy, reliability, explainability, observability, regulatory expectations, ethical use, and operational support.
- Improve engineering effectiveness through applied AI, automation, modern tooling, simplification, and continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor engineers while promoting observable, testable, reliable, and supportable AI-enabled engineering outcomes.
- Foster collaboration and AI maturity across engineering, Operations, DevOps, Security, and Compliance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on engineering background building, deploying, and scaling production-ready software applications and AI-powered products.
- Experience implementing AI/ML operational practices, including automation, CI/CD, data governance, or real-time data processing solutions.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices including governance, security, privacy, risk assessment, testing, monitoring, human oversight, auditability, and safe enterprise adoption.
- Hands-on experience resolving performance and scalability issues across distributed application architectures and databases.
- Knowledge of database design and development, design patterns, refactoring, object-oriented design, and modern software development practices.
- Experience creating and authenticating SOAP and RESTful web service endpoints.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum or Lean Kanban environments.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, storytelling, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Passion for developing talent and building high-performing teams.
- Preferred experience with payments, Natural Language Processing, conversational AI agents, large language model application development frameworks, and cloud or data platforms.
