Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build agentic AI systems that monitor, optimize, and autonomously evolve Amazon’s transportation network.
- Design and implement graph algorithms for multi-modal route optimization across speed, cost, and sustainability objectives.
- Develop highly available, low-latency distributed services processing millions of real-time transportation decisions.
- Generate, validate, and deploy network configurations using large language models and automation.
- Own systems end-to-end and contribute to coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred qualifications include 3 years of full software development life cycle experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and system design, with experience or interest in graph algorithms, optimization, AI/ML systems, or generative AI.
