Responsibilities
- Define application, infrastructure, and deployment security requirements with software engineering teams.
- Advise on security best practices during architecture and design discussions.
- Maintain a vulnerability management program and assess applications, public cloud environments, and data systems for security risks.
- Design and build automated solutions that reduce manual security work.
- Implement perimeter security, WAF, bot mitigation, application security, cloud security, and threat detection and response.
- Support compliance and regulatory requirements, audits, and information security governance with third parties and partners.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with ethical hacking and countermeasures.
- Proven experience using open-source security technology.
- Exposure to AWS or GCP environments and their security controls.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience scripting in Python or shell.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably B.Tech.
- Experience in technology, preferably in fintech, banking, gaming, e-commerce, or edtech.
- Experience implementing SAST or DAST tooling is preferred.
- Experience with security monitoring and log analysis, such as ELK, is preferred.
- Experience with perimeter security technologies such as WAF or IPS/IDS is preferred.
