Base Salary

$93k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and operate backend platform components, APIs, SDKs, and integration frameworks for OCI services and customers.
  • Own platform areas, including contracts, versioning, interoperability, and secure multi-tenant use.
  • Diagnose complex distributed-service issues and deliver compatibility-safe fixes and upgrade paths.
  • Improve availability, performance, capacity, and operability through resilience patterns, monitoring, logging, and automation.
  • Partner with OCI engineers on consumer needs, design and code reviews, and platform adoption.
  • Create technical documentation, samples, and operational guidance for platform consumers.
  • Participate in service support, incident investigation, and root-cause follow-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of professional software-development experience; advanced degree holders may have fewer years of experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or systems programming language, such as Java, C++, C#, or Go.
  • Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, microservices, SDKs, or developer-facing platform capabilities.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and secure software-development practices.
  • Experience with API design, integration, versioning, testing, source control, and production troubleshooting.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with highly available scalable cloud services, RESTful APIs, containers, cloud-native deployment, observability, service reliability engineering, database technologies, multi-tenant service design, and technical documentation.
