Base Salary

$137k - $263k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Product Security Engineer and coordinate security review coverage across a portfolio of products.
  • Provide security guidance, consultation, and information security expertise to product development teams.
  • Conduct security architecture and design reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, and business-logic reviews.
  • Identify systemic vulnerabilities and lead strategic security enhancements across Web, API, Mobile, Cloud, IoT, and AI environments.
  • Track emerging threats and design robust security controls for large-scale deployments.
  • Build AI agents, automation tooling, and automated security processes to streamline routine work.
  • Provide expert escalation support when automated security solutions are insufficient.
  • Communicate complex security and software engineering concepts to technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate on large-scale, interconnected projects and promote security as a shared responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience through professional work, military service, or specialized training.
  • Security experience spanning Web, API, Containers, Mobile iOS/Android, AWS Cloud, IoT, Networking, and AI domains.
  • Experience with security vulnerabilities, penetration testing, and application security scanning tools such as Fortify and Tenable.
  • Experience performing security requirements analysis for large-scale Web, IoT, Mobile, and AI deployments.
  • Hands-on development experience with Swift, Java, Scala, Python, or C/C++.
  • Preferred experience building complex AI systems and agentic workflows using Claude Code Skills, LangChain, or custom harnesses.
  • Preferred proficiency in mobile security and application development for iOS and Android.
  • Preferred experience with root cause analysis, technical problem-solving, and mobile or web application penetration testing.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, CCSK, GSEC, GIAC, or GPEN are preferred.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and organizational maturity models is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Jira or equivalent project management platforms is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration, influence, communication, project leadership, and management capabilities.
